Disclaimer

This page explains how Metlok presents product, performance, pricing, and warranty information in our marketing — what the figures mean, how they were derived, and where to look for the full and binding terms.

1. Marketing copy is informational, not a contract

Statements on Metlok web pages, landing pages, ads, brochures, and other marketing materials are provided for general information only. Nothing on these pages forms a contract, an offer, a warranty, or a guarantee. The binding terms of any roof we install are set out in your signed installation agreement and in the official Metlok Limited Warranty document.

2. Product comparisons & specification ranges

Side-by-side comparison tables (for example “Metlok vs. asphalt shingles, 5V-crimp / R-panel metal, and standing seam”) summarize Metlok’s product specifications alongside typical published ranges for each competing material category. The competing-product figures are industry generalizations, not specifications of any particular brand. Actual values for a specific competing product vary by manufacturer, grade, gauge, installation, and conditions, and may fall outside the ranges shown.

3. Performance claims (wind, lifespan, energy savings)

Wind ratings.

Wind-rating figures (including “180+ MPH”) reflect the engineered wind resistance of the Metlok system under tested installation conditions. Actual in-field performance depends on the installation, the structural condition of the home, fastener and underlayment choices, and storm dynamics. No roofing system is hurricane-proof.

Lifespan.

References to a “lifetime” roof describe a roof engineered for the lifetime of the home under normal residential use, backed by the Metlok 50-year limited lifetime warranty. Actual service life depends on installation, climate, maintenance, and conditions. “Lifetime” is not a guarantee of any specific number of years.

Energy savings.

Energy-savings figures (for example “up to 25% reduction”) describe upper-end potential reductions in cooling-related energy use observed in metal-roof installations. Actual savings depend on your home’s insulation, age, HVAC, sun exposure, climate, and utility rates. Metlok does not guarantee a specific dollar or percentage reduction.

4. Reviews and ratings

Review counts and star ratings (for example “4.6 stars across 738 reviews”) reflect publicly available Google review data for the family roofing company that builds and installs Metlok as of the date the page was published, and are not specific to any single Metlok product or project. Counts and averages update over time and may differ from current values.

5. Testimonials and case examples

Customer testimonials, project photos, and case examples reflect the experience of individual customers and are not guarantees of any future result. Each home, roof, climate, and project is different.

6. Pricing, estimates, and consultations

Any prices, ranges, or comparisons referenced in marketing are illustrative. Pricing for a specific project is provided only in a written estimate after an on-site consultation, and final pricing is set in your signed installation agreement. Free consultations are exactly that — free, with no obligation to proceed.

7. Warranty references

Statements like “lifetime warranty,” “backed for life,” “one warranty,” or “transferable warranty” refer to the Metlok 50-Year Limited Lifetime Warranty. That document — not the marketing copy — sets the binding terms, scope, exclusions, transfer rules, and claim procedures. See the warranty page for the summary and ask for the full document during your consultation.

8. Insurance and claims-handling references

Statements describing how we document damage, meet adjusters, or coordinate paperwork describe documentation and coordination work only. Metlok does not adjust, negotiate, or settle insurance claims, and does not represent that any specific claim will be approved or reimbursed. Coverage and reimbursement decisions are made by your insurer under your policy.

9. City and market references

Pages may reference cities and surrounding areas where Metlok and our installation crews serve homeowners. Availability of specific products, profiles, colors, and scheduling can vary by area and season.

10. Third-party content

Metlok pages may include or link to content from third parties (maps, analytics, video hosting, social platforms). Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, and Metlok is not responsible for their content.

11. Updates to this page

We may update this disclaimer from time to time as products, claims, or marketing change. Changes are reflected by the “Last revised” date at the top of this page.

12. Questions

Questions about anything on a Metlok page are welcome. Call us at (321) 220-9935 or reach us through our contact page.
