One company, one call

Manufactured And Installed By Us.

We make the roof in our own American factory and install it with our own crews. One company, one call, start to finish. Cutting out the middlemen is how we offer a premium roof without the premium price, and it's why we won't raise our prices after a storm.

  • One company, one call
  • No subcontractors, no middlemen
  • A premium roof without the premium price
  • No price hikes after the storm

A company you can trust

Family-Run. Veteran-Founded. Here After The Storm.

Metlok is a family-run, veteran-founded Florida company with 33 years of roofing behind it, and a real 50-year limited lifetime warranty in writing. Out-of-state storm chasers often work under a license they lease from someone else. When they leave town, so does anyone who'll stand behind your roof.

Beware of storm scammers

  • Never sign over your insurance benefits to a contractor.
  • Never accept an offer to cover your deductible or let you skip it. In Florida, that's insurance fraud.
  • Never pay the full price up front.
  • Ask for the contractor's Florida license number, and make sure it's their own.

After every big storm

How to tell a storm chaser from a company that stays

The storm chaser

  • Shows up from out of state the day after the storm
  • Works under a license leased from someone else
  • Pushes you to sign today, before anyone else looks
  • "We'll cover your deductible"
  • Asks for a big deposit before any work starts
  • Tells you what your insurance will pay
  • A phone number that stops working after the job

Metlok

  • A Florida family company: 33 years, same name
  • Our own family company's license and our own crews
  • No pressure to sign, ever
  • We never pay, waive, or rebate deductibles. In Florida that's insurance fraud
  • Normal, reasonable terms, never an oversized deposit to start
  • We don't interpret your policy. That's between you and your insurer
  • The same people answer the phone, years after the job

Prioritizing Homes Hit By The Storm

If the storm damaged your roof, call us or request your assessment. We're scheduling storm-damaged homes first, and we offer emergency repairs to protect your home before the next storm.

Right now

What to do first after the storm

Whether or not you ever call us, these four steps protect your home and your options.

  1. 01

Stay safe, stay off the roof

Keep clear of downed power lines and standing water, and leave the climbing to people with harnesses. No roof is worth a fall.

  2. 02

    Photograph everything first

Before you clean up, take dated photos and video of the roof, ceilings, attic, siding, and debris in the yard. The day-after scene can't be recreated later.

  3. 03

    Slow the water down

If water is coming in, move valuables, catch the drips, and call us about emergency repairs. A small leak left alone can soak the decking and insulation and turn into mold.

  4. 04

Call your insurer, then take your time

Your insurance company is the one who can explain your coverage and what they need from you. Then choose who rebuilds on your own schedule. Nobody should rush you to sign.

Straight answers

What storm-damaged homeowners are asking

Is it safe to have my roof looked at right now?

Only once officials say it's safe to travel and the power lines around your home are clear. You can request your assessment now and we'll schedule the visit when conditions allow. Until then, please stay off the roof.

My roof is leaking right now. What should I do?

Call us. We offer emergency repairs to protect your home and stop further damage. In the meantime, move valuables out of the way, catch the water, and stay off the roof.

Will my insurance pay for a new roof?

Please check with your insurance company about your coverage. We can't speak to your policy, and nobody but your insurer or a licensed public adjuster should. What we give every homeowner is a written, itemized estimate, and we're glad to walk you through it line by line.

A crew offered to cover my deductible. Is that OK?

No. In Florida, a contractor paying, waiving, or rebating your deductible is insurance fraud, a third-degree felony. Treat that offer as a warning sign about everything else they tell you.

Do I have to replace the whole roof?

Not always. Some storm damage only needs a repair, and we'll tell you if that's the case. If it is time for a new roof, Metlok is built to be the last one you buy: four-way interlocking metal panels rated to 180+ MPH winds, backed by a 50-year limited lifetime warranty.

Can I finance a new roof?

Yes. Financing with no money down, 0% interest and low payments is available to qualified buyers. Terms apply, so ask your Design Specialist for the details.

Do you work in Panama City?

Yes. We're a Florida family company based in Central Florida, serving Florida families, including in Panama City. We won't pretend to be local. We'll show up, do it right, and answer the phone for years after.
